The Magliocco family estate is located in Saint-Pierre-de-Clages, very close to Chamoson in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, on the southern slopes of the Rhône Valley.
Since 1981, Daniel has worked with passion and conviction on what is now a 7-hectare estate to bring out the very best in the fruit of his terroir. In 2006, his son Mikaël joined the family business and took over the estate in 2011 after graduating as a winemaker and oenology engineer.
A link between heaven and earth, wine is the expression of the grape variety that gives it body, the terroir from which it comes, and the vintage that saw it born and mature. At Daniel Magliocco et Fils, each stage is carefully thought out to reflect these three key elements. From the vine to the bottle, there is a single aim: to make wine a vehicle for emotion.
In their search for the ideal and the essential, Daniel and Mikaël have naturally adhered to the Bio Suisse specifications since 2018. In the vineyard, synthetic products have been abandoned in favour of organic solutions that respect the environment, are gentler on the winemaker and healthier for the consumer.
Daniel and Mikaël like wines with character, and the oenological process is as non-invasive as possible. The aim is for the wines to express the terroir in which they were born, and for the different vintages to convey a range of emotions.
The estate's white wines are fruity, very fresh and well-balanced, with undeniable finesse and balance. The red wines have style and character. The hallmark of the estate's wines is to express the uniqueness of each grape variety to the full. These are wines with identity, character and fidelity to their terroir.
We are pleased to present a selection of four wines from the Daniel Magliocco & Fils estate, all of which are representative of our philosophy, which characterises the uniqueness and quality of the winemaker's work with great respect for the raw material, the grape.
